25/03/2024 RUH Porters 1 (1) v TCR 5 (8)


Porters showed 42 only to see the Rollers lead 1-0 with 51 who then showed 48 to take a 2-0 advantage. Porters hit 44 but the Rollers made it 3-0 with a 56. They showed back 47 and led 4-0 as Porters narrowly missed with 45. A show of 45 did give Porters their only leg before a show of 51 from the Rollers took the game on a tied leg. Dave Clarke had 40 and Rob Richardson 41.

25/03/2024 Bards 1 (1) v Bluecoat House 5 (8)


Bards showed 35 but Bluecoat led with 49. They dropped to 43 but Bards could only score another 35 to trail 2-0. They raised their game to show 44 to win the third but Bluecoat led 3-1 with a show of 51. Bards showed 47 but Bluecoat led 4-1 on anchor with 49. A show of 44 then won them the game. Mike Grigg had 35 and Janet Hosking shared 41 with Terry Clark

18/03/2024 Police 1 (1) v Twerton City Rollers 5 (8)


Police opened with 31 and the Rollers easily led with a 49, and a show back of 49 made it 2-0. Police improved with a 41 but the Rollers went to 3-0 on anchor with 47 and hit 42. Police went well but one low score was costly as they trailed 4-0 after a 39. They showed 46 to win their leg and facing 34 just missed out on keeping the game alive with 33. Martin and Chris Williams were top cops with 36 and Andy Richman 38

18/03/2024 TCR 5 (8) v RUH Porters 1 (1)


Twerton City Rollers had an opening leg of 46 to gain a 1-0 lead facing 35 took a 2-0 lead on anchor with 39 and then another 39 took the score to 3-0. RUH Porters came back strongly with 52 to win the fourth but with the Rollers showing 45 they led 4-1. Porters hit 36 but the Rollers won the game with 48. Paula Sage had 40 as did Margaret Morris.

18/03/2024 Ivory Toast 2 (2) v Police 5 (8)


Ivory hit 48 only for Police to lead 1-0 on anchor with 53 A show of 45 then just made it 2-0. Ivory came back to narrowly win the third with 52 but Police made it 3-1 with a 55. Ivory won the fifth with 50 but Police showed 53 with 10sp from Louisa Williams to make it 4-2. Ivory Toast hit 53 and Police scored well but even though Allan Taylor had 13sp it still needed Chris Williams on anchor to win the leg and game in a leg of 58 to record a rare victory. Dom Hall had 49 and Martin Williams 52

18/03/2024 Bluecoat House 3 (3) v Bards 5 (8)


Bluecoat opened with 45 and won the leg with ease. Bards scored 36 in the second and drew level as Bluecoat lost the leg on a tie. A sow of 38 put them back in the lead and facing 34 led 3-1 with a 41. A drop to 33 allowed the Bards to win the fifth with 44 and their show of 39 was enough to draw level at 3-3. Bluecoat dropped to 29 and Bards led 4-3 with a 44. They showed 35 and in a tense finish the anchor of Bluecoat buckled to only score 3 and the game was lost on a tie. Rod Walton had 45 and Pete Lemmy shared 49 with Andy Lanning.

11/03/2024 Twerton City Rollers 5 v Bluecoat House 2


Twerton City Rollers had an opening leg of 45 to gain a 1-0 lead but a show back of 44 from Bluecoat House made the score 1-1. The Rollers led 2-1 with 43 and facing 48 they took the fourth leg on anchor with 50 to lead 3-1. A leg of 56 then made the score 4-1. Bluecoat hit back in the sixth to win with a show of 50 but the Rollers won the tie with a 47. Andy Richman had 45 and Dick Hosking 41

11/03/2024 Jelly Beans 5 v No Hopers 3


Jelly Beans led with a 47 and then took a 2-0 lead beating 43 on anchor with 44. They dropped to 31 and No Hopers took their first leg on anchor with 38. They showed back 34 and Jelly Beans went to 3-1 on anchor with 37. They showed back 47 but No Hopers won their second on anchor with 49 and another 49 brought the game level. Jelly Beans won the seventh with 42 and then beat 31 with 42 to win the game. Alkie Rosser had 57 and Matt R James 45

11/03/2024 Bards 5 v Ivory Toast 1


Bards opened with 50 and despite Chloe Burroughs having 11sp Ivory lost the leg with 45. They showed back 53 and though Dick Newton had an early 14sp Bards lost the leg on a 52 to allow Ivory to level at 1-1. Bards took the lead with 48 and facing 44 made it 3-1 with 52. A show of 49 took the score to 4-1 and facing 43 won the game with 55 after Pete Lemmy led off with a fine 11sp. Pete Lemmy had 46 and Chloe Burroughs shared 42 with Keiran Sargent.

04/03/2024 Twerton City Rollers 5 (8) v Police 0 (0)


With Andy Richman having 12sp on anchor a show of 44 in the opening leg was a winning one. Police were propped up by new signing Thomas Du Toit and they showed back 42. It needed the anchor for Twerton City Rollers to lead 2-0 with a 49. They hit 53 in the third to lead 3-0 and facing 47 made it 4-0 with a 56. They hit 49 and though Police scored well they just missed out with 46. Andy Richman had 44 and the evergreen veteran Bob Eames 35.

04/03/2024 Bluecoat House 5 (7) v Jelly Beans 4 (5)


Bluecoat House hit 39 in the opener and led 1-0, albeit by the courtesy of a tied leg. Jelly Beans dropped to show 30 but it still needed Terry Clark on anchor to win the leg for Bluecoat to lead 2-0. A show of 37 then made it 3-0. Jelly Beans showed 32 to just win their first leg and then beat 32 on anchor with 37 tp trail 2-3. They dropped to 28 and Bluecoat led 4-2 with 35. They hit 34 but Jelly Beans won the leg with 46 and a show of 41 brought the score to 4-4. Bluecoat hit 35 and though Jelly Beans missed out on victory with 33 they did enough to take the point for pins. Rob Davis had 51 and Alfie Rosser 54.

04/03/2024 Ivory Toast 2 (2) v Bards 5 (8)


Ivory Toast opened up with a leg of 48 to lead 1-0 but Bards made it 1-1 on a tied leg of 46. Ivory hit 52 to regain the lead but back came Bards to level with 54. Ivory hit 45 in the fifth but Bards led for the first time on anchor with 48. They showed 49 to lead 4-2 and a drop by Ivory to 39 in the seventh let Bards in to win the game with 51. Cath Davidson had 44 and Andy Lanning 50.

26/02/2024 Jelly Beans 5 (8) v Bluecoat House 1 (1)


Jelly Bean took the opener with 39 and facing 40 made it 2-0 with Ian Humphries having 10sp on anchor in a 46. They dropped to 30 and Bluecoat took full advantage to win their leg with 36. Their drop to 37 saw Jelly Beans in to lead 3-1 with 45 and then a 49 made it 4-1. Bluecoat showed 30 but Jelly Beans won the game with 39. Ian Humphries had 39 and Stuart Regan 33.

26/02/2024 Bards 5 (8) v Ivory Toast 4 (4)


Bards opened with 53 to take a 1-0 lead and facing 42 made it 2-0 with 51. They dropped to 46 and with Marmaduke having 14sp on anchor Ivory Toast won the third. They then showed 48 to just level at 2-2. Bards scored 46 including 12sp from Rog Northcott but Ivory led 3-2 with 52 and a show of 50 took it to 2-4. Bards hit 49 to win the seventh and then beat 47 on anchor with 49 to level at 4-4. They hit 46 to win as Ivory Toast crumbled under the pressure with 37. Pete Lemmy had 60 and Marmaduke Hatfield 69.

19/02/2024 Police 1 v Twerton City Rollers 5


Police opened with 28 but Twerton City Rollers easily led 1-0 with a 40. A 42 then made it 2-0. Police hit 47 to win the third, but a 44 from the Rollers saw them lead 3-1. Police hit 40 in the fifth but the Rollers won the leg on anchor to lead 4-1. A show of 45 then saw the Rollers home and through to the next round. Martin Williams had 33 and Simon Dimbylow 36

12/02/2024 TCR 5 (8) v Bluecoat House 0 (0)


The Rollers hit an opening 39 to just win the leg against 38 from Bluecoat House. Bluecoat dropped to 36 and the Rollers led 2-0 with a 49. A 45 made it 3-0 and facing 40 from Bluecoat took a 4-0 lead on anchor with 44. A 56 then completed the rout. James Dowbiggin shared 34 with Andrew Richman and Rod Walton scored 29.

12/02/2024 Ivory Toast 3 (3) v Bluecoat House 5 (8)


Ivory took the lead with a 44 but Bluecoat hit back with 47 to level. Ivory dropped to 37 and Bluecoat led 2-1 with 51. A show of 46 just took the fourth by one pin. Ivory then won the fifth with a 50 and facing 44 from Bluecoat levelled at 3-3 with another 50. Nick Houston started the seventh leg with 14sp in a 51 but Bluecoat led 4-3 on anchor with 55. A show of 55 then won them the game. Marmaduke Hatfield had 54 and Paul Bowditch 56.

12/02/2024 No Hopers 4 (5) v Jelly Beans 5 (7)


Jelly Beans beat No Hopers dhow of 35 with 45 to lead 1-0 and showed back 44. No Hopers levelled on anchor with 47 and then took the lead with a 50. Jelly Beams came back to level with a 48 but No Hopers led 3-2 with a 54. Jelly Beans made it 3-3 with a 56 and No Hopers led 4-3 on a tied 42. Jelly Beans levelled with a show of 42 and facing 44 won the game on anchor with 46, but not the point for pins. Charlie James had 61 and Ian Humphries 54.

05/02/2024 Twerton City Rollers 5 (8) v Bards 4 (4)


The Rollers showed 38 to lead 1-0 but a 42 from Bards made it all square. Rollers then hit 36 but with Andy Lanning taking 13sp on anchor a 47 had Bards leading. They hit 41 but the Rollers levelled at 2-2 with a 50. A 44 then had them leading, and facing 37 made it 4-2 with 50. They dropped to 44 and Bards just took the leg on anchor with 45 and a show of 43 brought the game level at 4-4. Twerton City Rollers hit 38 but Bards fell away badly to lose the game with 30. Rob Barron shared 57 with Simon Dimbylow and Mike Knight had 58.

05/02/2024 Bluecoat House 5 (8) v Ivory Toast 3 (3)


Bluecoat opened with 31 but Ivory Toast led on anchor with 33 and then a show of 41 made it 2-0. Bluecoat won their first leg with 39 with Ivory Toast dropping to 26. They hit 45 but Bluecoat levelled at 2-2 on anchor with 49. A show of 38 then saw them lead. Ivory came back to 3-3 with a 45 but a 43 had Bluecoat in front again. Facing only 33 from Ivory Toast Bluecoat won the game with 43. Paul Bowditch had 45 and Marmaduke Hatfield 53.

05/02/2024 Jelly Beans 5 (8) v No Hopers 3 (3)


Jelly Beans showed 37 and just took the lead against 34 from No Hopers. They dropped to 23 and Jelly Beans led 2-0 with 33. A show of 32 then took it to 3-0. No Hopers hit 41 to win the fourth and took the fifth on anchor beating 33 with 36. They dropped to 31 and Jelly Beans made it 4-2 with 37. They could only show 29 and No Hopers took their third with 40. They showed back 29 and though Jelly Beans struggled they took the victory on anchor with 30. Ian Humphries had 47 and Matt D James 46.

29/01/2024 TCR 5 (8) v Ivory Toast 0 (0)


A 50 had the Rollers leading after the first leg, and facing 44 took a 2-0 lead on anchor with 49. A show of 56 easily made it 3-0 and then Ivory scored 43. The Rollers won that leg on anchor with 48 and though they dropped to their low of the evening, 39, Ivory could not avoid the rout scoring 38. Paula Sage shared 32 with Andrew Richman and Dom Hall scored 31.

29/01/2024 Bluecoat House 5 (8) v No Hopers 1 (1)


Bluecoat showed 41 to win the opener but a 42 from No Hopers levelled the game. Bluecoat hit 39 in the third but that was enough to retake the lead against 31 from No Hopers. They showed 42 only to see Bluecoat lead 3-1 on anchor with 45. A show of 37 was enough to lead 4-1 and then they faced 42. Bluecoat scored well and left anchor Terry to score two and win the game. Why do more than is necessary, one pin with the first ball, one pin with the second, and why bother scoring with the third?. Paul Bowditch had 38 and Matt R James 34.

29/01/2024 Jelly Beans 3 (4) v RUH Porters 5 (7)


An interesting game. Jelly Beans showed 37 and saw Porters lead with a 43. A show of 34 then had Porters leading 2-0. Jelly Beans showed 23 (29) and Porters hit 29 to lead 3-0. Another 29 was beaten by Jelly Beans with 41 and 39 brought the score to 2-3. Porters hit 42 to lead 4-2 but Jelly Beans came back with 39 to win the seventh. Porters hit 37 and Jelly Beans lost the game on a tie, took the point for the pins as consolation. G Moody shared 44 with Darren Rosser and J May 40.

22/01/2024 RUH Porters 5 (7.5) v Jelly Beans 3 (3.5)


RUH Porters opened with a show of 36 but Jelly Beans led 1-0 on anchor with 37 and then a show of 42 took it to 2-0. Porters came back in the third to win it with a 48. Facing 47 they levelled the game with 54 including spares of 9 and 13 from Andy Bond and Margaret Morris. A show of 48 then had Porters leading 3-2. Jelly Beans came back to 3-3 with a 46 but a tied leg of 36 had Porters lead again at 4-3. They faced 43 from Jelly Beans and won the game on anchor with 45 including 13sp from Henry Guscott. Andy Bond had 58 and Gavin Moore 54.

22/01/2024 Ivory Toast 5 (8) v TCR 2 (2)


Ivory led with a 49 and then beat a 43 with 48 to lead 2-0. A show of 46 made it 3-0 and facing 47 made it 4-0 with 62 including 12sp from Keiron Sargent. The Rollers fightback began with beating 41 on anchor with 42 and just winning the sixth with 49. They faced 41 but unfortunately lost the leg and the game on a tie. Keiron Sargent shared 48 with Marmaduke Hatfield and Simon Dimbylow 45.

22/01/2024 No Hopers 5 (8) v Bluecoat House 1 (1)


No Hopers led 1-0 with 43 and then beat 43 on anchor with 45 and then a show of 48 took it to 3-0. Bluecoat showed 38 but No Hopers beat that with 50. They dropped to 36 and Bluecoat won their leg with 42 and showed back 43. No Hopers went well and romped home with 54. Chris James had 38 and Paul Bowditch shared 35 with Terry Clark.

15/01/2024 RUH Porters 5 (8) v No Hopers 1 (1)


RUH Porters opened the new year with a show of 45. They won the leg on a tie despite a valiant effort from Rob Sage of No Hopers with 14sp. No Hopers showed 43 but Porters led 2-0 with a 50 and a show of 45 just had them leading 3-0. No Hopers took their leg with 51 including 11sp from Chris Quick. Porters showed 53 and No Hopers just missed out with 50. They dropped to 45 and Porters just won the leg on anchor with 46. Andy Bond shared 43 with Graham Lock and Rob Sage 46.

18/12/2023 Jelly Beans 5 (8) v Police 4 (4)


Jelly Beans opened with 28 and took an early lead. Police showed back 25 and that was just sufficient to level at 1-1. Jelly Beans regained the lead with 32 but with Stuart Neate having 12sp a leg of 31 brought Police level.at 2-2 and facing 22 took the lead on anchor with 27. They showed 32 only for Jelly Beans to level at 3-3 with 40. A show of 35 then had them leading 4-3. Police levelled in the eighth with 29 but a show of 36 saw Jelly Beans gain their first win of the season. Darren Rosser had 54 and Stuart Neate 60.

18/12/2023 Bluecoat House 2 (2) v TCR 5 (8)


Bluecoat House showed 37, only to see Twerton City Rollers take the lead with 43. They showed back 42 but Bluecoat levelled on anchor with 43 and then a show of 47 took the lead. Twerton City Rollers came back to level with 57 and then took the lead on anchor with 42 beating 38. A 51 took the score to 4-2 before they faced 46 from Bluecoat. Twerton City Rollers scored well leaving their anchor and captain Andy Richman 3 to win the leg. Andy obviously decided what’s the point of having three balls and not using them. One pin per ball was enough to win the game. Dick Hosking had 45 and Matt Amor 45

18/12/2023 No Hopers 5 (8) v RUH Porters 3 (3)


No Hopers opened with 42 but Porters led on anchor with 46 and a show of 47 saw them lead 2-0. No Hopers then showed 41 and just took the third to pull back to 1-2. Porters hit 46 in the fourth to easily lead 3-1. The fightback from No Hopers started in the fifth with a winning show of 49 and then beat 35 with 55 to level at 3-3. A show of 49 then saw them lead 4-3 and facing 47 a win on anchor of 49 saw No Hopers win an entertaining game. Joe Rich had 53 and Andy Bond 47.

11/12/2023 Bards 3 v No Hopers 5


Bards opened with 34 but No Hopers led on anchor with 37. Sadly a drop to score only 6, it is Nominations, let Bards in to level with 39. They hit 24 and No Hopers regained the lead with 33. They showed back 28 and Bards levelled at 2-2 with 31. They showed 30 but again No Hopers took the lead on anchor with 32. They returned a 29 but again Bards levelled at 3-3 on anchor with 33. They showed back 19 and No Hopers seized the initiative with 35 and a 25 was just enough to with a tight enthralling game. Richard Newton had 39 and Matt R James top and tailed with Rob Sage with 34 apiece.

11/12/2023 Twerton City Rollers 5 v Bluecoat House 4


The Rollers hit 30 to lead 1-0 but Bluecoat responded with 31 to level the game. Back came the Rollers with 34 to lead 2-1 and then faced 30 from Bluecoat. The Rollers staeted well and with Tom Guilbert having 13sp it paved the way for a 3-1 lead with 41. They showed 33 but with Neil Sutton leading off with 11sp Bluecoat brought it back to 2-3 on anchor with 37. They showed 25 but the Rollers led 4-2 on anchor with 29. Tjey hit 30 but Bluecoat won the seventh on anchor with 31 and then showed 32. Twerton City Rollers missed out winning the game with 23 but hit 35 in the final leg. Bluecoat went well but they left anchor and captain Terry Clark needing 12sp to win the game. The spare was achieved with the first two balls, unfortunately the third missed the call and Terry ended with 9sp. Andrew Richman had 52 and Terry Clark 45.

27/11/2023 Bluecoat House 3 (4) v RUH Porters 5 (7)


Bluecoat showed 38 but Porters took an early lead on anchor with 40. They showed 45 to then take a 2-0 lead. Bluecoat hit back to win the third leg with 48 including 14sp from Paul Bowditch but a show of 41 from Porters was just enough to lead 3-1. Bluecoat won the fifth with 48 and facing 40 levelled at 3-3 with a 52. They dropped to 41 and Porters regained the lead on anchor with 45 and a show of 44 won the game by one pin though not enough to salvage the point for the pins. Paul Bowditch had 56 and Martin Pratt 51.

Jelly Beans scored 34 but saw Bards lead on anchor with a 40. They dropped to 36 and Jelly Beans levelled with 40. They showed 38 to lead 2-1. Bards levelled with a show of 38 but Jelly Beans regained the lead with 41. Bards made it 3-3 with 38 and facing 30 took it to 4-3 with 36. They dropped to 33 but it was enough to win the game. Ian Humphries had 46 and Andy Lanning 47.

No Hopers led with 44 and facing 43 took a 2-0 lead on anchor with another 44. A show of 46 made it 3-0 and facing from Police 35 led 4-0 with 44. With victory in sight No Hopers showed 53 for the game. Joe Rich had 39 and Martin Williams 31.

Porters opened with 42 to lead 1-0, but a show of 44 from Bluecoat levelled the game. Porters hit another 42 to regain the lead only to see a 42 from Bluecoat level at 2-2. Porters scored 40 in the fifth but Bluecoat took the lead on anchor with 46. A show of 40 had them leading 4-2 and facing 38 won the game on anchor with 43. Andy Bond had 44 and Terry Clark 46

Police were boosted by the debuts of two new recruits, one operating on the flank and one filling in at the back. An opening leg of 44 with 13sp saw them lead 1-0 and facing 39 made it 2-0 on anchor with 41. They showed 44 but with Matt R James leading off with 12sp No Hopers won their first leg. They showed 49 but Police led 3-1 on anchor with 52 including a 10sp. They dropped to 37 and No Hopers won with 43 and then a show of 50 brought the score to 3-4. A 47 saw Police lead 4-2 and then beat 39 with 50 to win the game. A team inspired one down topped with 58 and Matt D James had 46.

Bards won the opener with a show of 52, but the same score had No Hopers level. Bards led again with 51 and facing g 41 made it 3-1 with 53. They dropped to 45 but led 4-1 as No Hopers dropped to 42. They showed back 54 with 10sp from Stephane Perold but a 50 won the game for Bards. Rich Morris had 51 and Matt R James 50.

Police showed an opening 39 to lead 1-0, but Porters just levelled with a 38 and then beat 33 with 44 to take the lead. They increased it to 3-1 with 36 and facing 32 made it 4-1 with 39. They dropped to 30 and Police won their second leg with 38 and a show of 39 brought it to 3-4. Porters could only show 30 in the eighth but Police failed to stave off defeat with 27. Martin Williams had 44 and Graham Mclennon 47

Ivory hit 42 but Jelly Beans took the lead with 53, and showed back 46 with 14sp from A Non. Ivory lost with a 40 and a show back of 43 was beaten by Jelly Beans with 54 including 15sp from Paul Kemmery..They showed 48 but with a 14sp from Cath Davidson Ivory won their first leg. They showed 46 but trailed 4-1 when Jelly Beans won the fifth on anchor with 47. They showed 42 but Ivory won on anchor with 45 and then a show of 50 took it to 3-4. Jelly Beans hit 39 and Ivory drew level with 48 and a show of 50 completed a remarkable recovery to win the game. Cath Davidson had 64 and Anon likewise.

Treasurers opened with 41 but with Jim Rose having 11sp a 49 saw the Rollers take an early lead. They dropped to 31 and Treasurers failed to capitalise and trailed 2-0 with a 30. They showed back 42 only to see the Rollers lead 3-0 on anchor 46. The Rollers hit 45 with 13sp from Andy Richman to lead 4-0 and faced 35 from Treasurers. The Rollers struggled but won the game on anchor with 37. David Froggatt topped with 32 and Andy Richman 36.

Porters won the opener with a show of 40 and facing 44 from Police made it 2-0 with 51 helped by a 13sp from Martin Pratt. They showed 55 but Police took their leg with 61 with 14sp from Dave Cox.. They showed 50 but Porters led 3-1 on anchor with 52. They showed 52 and though Amy Neate had 14sp Police lost the leg with 49. They showed 44 and Porters wrapped up the game on anchor with 49. Martin Pratt had 45 and Martin Williams shared 40 with Dave Cox.

They dropped to 38 and No Hopers made it 3-1 on anchor with 41. They showed 40 but Bards took the fifth on anchor with 41. A drop to 33 let No Hopers in to lead 4-2 with a 45 and a show of 50 won the game. Matt R James had 45 and Andy Lanning 42.

30/10/2023 RUH Porters 351 v No Hopers 348


Porters took an early 14 pin lead in the opener thanks to 16sp on anchor from Graham Lock. No Hopers pulled one back in the second with a 54 but Porters reversed that in the third. Graham Lock had 52 and Stephane Perold 53.

Twerton City Rollers held a 15 pin advantage with a 59 in the opener, and that increased to 17 after the second. Police pulled back 3 pins in the third, only for the Rollers to gain 2 more pins in the fourth. A 52 gave Rollers a further 12 pins and 10 more were gained when beating 42 with 52. A third consecutive 52 from Rollers left Pollice needing a huge 91 to win the game, and they failed with 40. Simon Dimbylow had 49 and Chris Williams 42.

23/10/2023 Bards 337 v Bluecoat House 317


Bards led by 1 pin after the opener, and increased it to 5 pins following the second leg. A leg of 54 from Bards increased it to 14 in the third and though Bluecoat scored 50 in the fourth a 59 with 11sp from Mike Grigg saw Bards lead by 23 pins. They dropped to a 46 and Bluecoat pulled back 6 pins. Bards gained 2 more pins in the sixth and though Bards showed only 39 in the final leg Bluecoat only scored 38 to lose. Mike Grigg had 50 and Janet Hosking 48

16/10/2023 Bluecoat House 4 (4) v Police 5 (8)


Bluecoat showed 32 but Police led on anchor with 34. They showed back 34 only to see Bluecoat level on anchor with 41, who then took the lead with a 39. Police levelled at 2-2 with 45 but Bluecoat regained the lead with 47, and then led 4-2 on anchor beating 42 with 45. They showed 41 but Police won the seventh with 47 and then showed 43 with 10sp on anchor from Chris Williams. Bluecoat failed to beat that with 40 and could only show 39 and Police ran out winners with 46. Dick Hosking had 52 and Chris Williams 57.

16/10/2023 No Hopers 5 (8) v Ivory Toast 0 (0)


No Hopers showed 47 to lead 1-0 and facing 31 made it 2-0 on anchor with 36 A show of 52 took it to 3-0 and the Ivory showed 36. No Hopers won the fourth on anchor with 39 and then a 45 completed the rout. Charlie James had 33 and Peter Sagan 27 on debut.

16/10/2023 RUH Porters 5 (8) v Bards 2 (2)


Porters showed 45 but Bards took an early lead on anchor with 46. They showed back 46 only for Porters to level on anchor with 48. A show of 50 then had Porters leading 2-1. Bards hit 57 with 15sp from Dick Newton and though Dave Clarke had 12sp Porters missed out with 56. They hit 47 to take a 3-2 lead and facing 53 from Bards led 4-2 on anchor with 54. They dropped to 44 but that was just enough to win the game. Dave Clarke had 58 and Rog Northcott 48.

09/10/2023 Bards 5 (8) v RUH Porters 2 (2)


Bards opened with 37 only to see Porters lead with a 42. They dropped to show 33 and Bards levelled with 44. Their show of 41 then had them leading 2-1. Porters then hit 43 in their show to level at 2-2. Bards came back with 42 and though Andy Bond had an 11sp Porters trailed 3-2 with 37. Their show of 36 was beaten with 49 and Bards won the game with 44. Andy Lanning scored 54 and Andy Bond 45.

09/10/2023 Ivory Toast 5 (7) v No Hopers 4 (5)


Ivory won the opener with 47 and then beat 38 on anchor with 40 to lead 2-0. No Hopers took the third with 49 including 12sp from Matt R James and then a 57 with 13sp from Chris James levelled it at 2-2. Ivory dropped to 33 and No Hopers led on anchor with 36. They showed 39 but Ivory made it 3-3 on anchor with 46. They dropped to 33 and No Hopers regained the lead with 43 but their show of 40 was won on anchor with 44. Ivory showed 47 in the final leg and won the game though No Hopers had the consolation of the point for pins. Nick Houston skippered the team well with 61 and Matt D James 60.

09/10/2023 Police 3 (3) v Bluecoat House 5 (8)


Police won the opener with a show of 48 and facing 37 made it 2-0 on anchor with 43. A drop to 31 allowed Bluecoat to win the third with 42 and then a show of 35 took it to 2-2. Police regained the lead with 45 but back came Bluecoat to level at 3-3 with 46 beating 40. Police showed 41 and Bluecoat led for the first time with 47 and completed the victory with a show of 37. Martin Williams shared 46 with A Taylor and Rod Walton 52.

02/10/2023 Treasurers 3 (3) v Bluecoat House 5 (8)


A 28 saw Treasurers take an early lead, but Bluecoat levelled with a 29. Treasurers showed 29 but Bluecoat led 2-1 on anchor with 32 and then a show of 3 made it 3-1. Treasurers hit 30 to win the fifth, and then beat 20 with 27 to level the game. They showed 26 and Bluecoat regained the lead with 35 and showed 27. Treasurers went well and just missed out on taking the game to a final leg by losing on a tie. David Froggatt had a fine 49 and Rod Walton 56.

The Rollers hit 49 to win the opener and facing 44 took it to 2-0 on anchor with 50. A show of 53 then made it 3-.0. No Hopers showed 43 but the Rollers took the leg on anchor with 47 and a show of 50 just won the game. Paula Sage had 37 and Chris James shared 32 with Rob Sage.

02/10/2023 Ivory Toast 5 (8) v RUH Porters 0 (0)


Ivory hit 35 to lead 1-0 and then beat 27 with 38 to lead 2-0. A show of 41 took it to 3-0 and Ivory then beat Porters show of 31 with 42 to lead 4-0. A show of 38 then finished the game. Dom Hall had 31 and Rob Holmes 31 too.

25/09/2023 RUH Porters 5 (8) v Ivory Toast 1 (1)


RUH Porters started the new season winning the opener with a show of 41 against 31. Ivory Toast showed back 44 and that was sufficient to level at 1-1. Porters came back with 39 and regained the lead on a tied leg, and then facing 39 led 3-1 with 48. A show of 49 with 10sp from Andy Bond made it 4-1 and facing 40 won the game with 47. Graham Lock had 42 as did Kieran Sargent.

25/09/2023 No Hopers 5 (8) v TCR 1 (1)


No Hopers showed 44 and led 1-0 with Twerton City Rollers only scoring 33. They dropped to show back 3 and No Hopers led 2-0 with 45. A 46 then made it 3-0. The Rollers then hit 40 to win their leg, but facing only 37 trailed 4-1 with 32 They hit their highest of the evening with 43 but No Hopers took home the spoils with 46, winning the game on anchor. Marcus Hayward hit 39 and Andrew Richman 36.

25/09/2023 Bards 5 (8) v Police 4 (4)


Bards hit 39 but Police led on anchor with 40 and then a show of 45 took the score to 2-0 in their favour. Bards scored 45 to win the third and facing 45 levelled the game on anchor with 50 and took the lead in the fith with a tied leg of 46. Police hit 49 to level at 3-3before a leg of 63 with 14sp from Pete Lemmy saw Bards leading 4-3. A 52 brought Police level at 4-4 but facing 45 from Bards in the final leg just missed out on victory with 44. The evergreen Andy Lanning had 62 as did Stuart Neate.
