15/03/2020 Jelly Beans 5 (8) v Treasurers 0 (0)


Jelly Beans opened with 33 on a difficult alley and Treasurers were unfortunate to lose on a tied leg. They improved to show a 35 but Jelly Beans took a 2-0 lead on anchor with 40. That became 3-0 with a show of 41 as Treasurers just missed out with 38. They showed 32 and Jelly Beans made it 4-0 on anchor with 34. They showed 38 and Treasurers went well but just missed out with 37. Ian Humphries had 28 and Jon Monks 26.

15/03/2020 Bluecoat House 1 (1) v Crazy Gang 5 (8)


Bluecoat started with 37 only for the Crazy Gang to lead with on anchor with 42. A show of 48 with 12sp from Kevin Turner then had the Gang leading 2-0. Bluecoat took the third with a 40, but couldn’t match a 51 from the Gang to trail 3-1. They hit 38 but the Gang led 4-1 with 46 and a show of 52 won the game. Terry Clark had 33 and Kevin Turner 44.

15/03/2020 TC Rollers 5 (8) v RUH Porters 2 (2)


The Rollers showed 52 to lead 1-0 and facing 42 made it 2-0 with 46. They dropped to show 39 and RUH Porters took full advantage to win the third on anchor with 43. They showed 45 but the Rollers just won the leg on anchor with 46. A 51 took the score to 4-1 before Porters won their second leg with 44. A show of 49 was the good enough to win the game for the Rollers. Andy Cole and Tom Guilbert shared 45 and Martin Pratt 44.

15/03/2020 SWA 3 (3) v Bards 5 (8)


SWA showed 42 but Bards led on anchor with 46 and then a show of 49 easily won the second leg. SWA hit 39 but Bards made it 3-0 with a 48 and a show of 50 took the game to 4-0. SWA won the fifth on a tied 46 and then beat 40 with 44. A show of 47 then pulled SWA back to 3-4. Bards recovered their composure to show 48 to win the game. Andy Bird had 52 and Mike Knight 53.

15/03/2020 No Hopers 5 (8) v Ivory Toast 2 (2)


No Hopers hit 57 in the opener with 11sp from Lucy James to lead against 53 and facing 49 made it 2-0 with a 70 including 17sp from Rob Sage and a show of 55 made it 3-0. Ivory dropped to 33 and with Joe Rich leading off with 12sp it went to 4-0 with a 56. No Hopers hit 56 but with Nick Houston leading off with 15sp to show how it’s done Ivory won the leg with 52. Nick Houston led off again with 12sp and a leg of 50 won the sixth. No Hopers hit 53 in the seventh and just won the game. Rob Sage had 60 and Nick Houston 55.

15/03/2020 No Hopers 5 (8) v SWA 3 (3)


In this rearranged game, and the second of the week for both teams, No Hopers started the better to lead with a 50. SWA levelled with a show of 52 before a 54 had No Hopers back in the lead. Facing 54 from SWA No Hopers extended their lead on anchor to 3-1 with a 55. They showed 52 but with Rory Daniel taking 15sp SWA won the fifth with 55, and then a show of 53 brought the scores level at 3-3. No Hopers hit 62 and despite a 10sp from Kim Sargant SWA lost the leg with 56 and a drop to 42 let No Hopers in with 50 to win the game. Matt R James had 61 and Rory Daniel scored likewise.

15/03/2020 Ivory Toast 2 v Bards 5


Ivory hit 24 but Bards led on anchor with 26 and then a show of 40 made it 2-0. Ivory Toast hit another 33 but Bards made it 3-0 with 42. They dropped to show 31 and Ivory scored 41 to take the fourth. They showed 38 to win the fifth to come back to 2-3. Bards hit 33 to just take the sixth and facing 24 won the game with 28. Marmaduke Hatfield and Henry Duckworth shared 38 and Mike Nash 39.

08/03/2020 Treasurers 5 (8) v Jelly Beans 4 (4)


Treasurers showed 40 and took the lead against 38. Jelly Beans showed a 38 and that was good enough to level the game. Back came Treasurers with 49 to lead but facing 51 lost the fourth with 48. They dropped to 41 and Jelly Beans took the lead on anchor with 47. They showed back 35 but Treasurers made it 3-3 on anchor with 36 and then a 48 saw them lead 4-3. Jelly Beans levelled with a 45 before Treasurers showed 42 in the final leg. Jelly Beans were close but lost the leg and game on a tie, and in doing so lost the point for pins. David Froggatt scored 57 and Ian Humphries 59.

08/03/2020 RUH Porters 1 (1) v TC Rollers 5 (8)


Porters led with a 47 but facing 57 from the Rollers lost the leg with 49. They dropped to 39 and the Rollers led 2-1 with a 42. They showed a 45 and the Porters just missed out with a 43. They hit 41 but the Rollers led 4-1 with 54. A slight drop to show 52 was still sufficient to win despite Margaret Morris having 13sp in a 50. Graham Lock had a 40 and James Dowbiggin 42

08/03/2020 Crazy Gang 5 (8) v Bluecoat House 3 (3)


Crazy Gang led with a 54 and facing 44 made it 2-0 with 56. They dropped to 44 and Bluecoat won the third on anchor with 48. They showed back a very good 54 but with Connor Turner taking 15sp a 60 ensured Crazy Gang led 3-1 on anchor. A show of 52 then made the score 4-1. Bluecoat showed 49 to win the sixth on a tied leg and facing 44 won the seventh on anchor with 45. They showed 44 and Crazy Gang won the game with 53. Chris Lee had 59 and Franc Matranga shared 53 with Rob Davis.

08/03/2020 Bards 5 (8) v SWA 4 (4)


Bards opened with 44 but SWA led on anchor with 46. They showed 48 to lead 2-.0 as Bards hit 46. They showed 49 but SWA took a 3-0 lead on anchor with 53. A disastrous drop to 36 let Bards in to win with a 46 in the fourth but they only showed back 43 and SWA took full advantage to lead 4-1 with 52. They hit 41 and Bards won the sixth with 53 Bards then showed 58 with 15sp from Mike Grigg to pull back to 3-4. SWA dipped to 40 and Bards levelled with 52. A show of 46 was then just enough to complete the comeback. Mike Grigg had 62 and Dave Mooney 60.

08/03/2020 No Hopers 336 v Jelly Beans 318


No Hopers hit 49 in the opener to take a 5-pin lead and when Jelly Beans showed back 38 took advantage with a 47 to lead by 14 pins. A 51 from No Hopers then had them leading by 18 pins and increased it by 1 pin, 52 beating 51. No Hopers dropped to 49 but Jelly Beans could only score 42 and trailed by 26 pins after five legs. The sixth leg was tied but then No Hopers dropped to 43 and though Jelly Beans needed 69 to win there was some consolation as they pulled back 7 pins with 50. Matt R James had 48 and Ian Humphries likewise.

08/03/2020 Bluecoat House 299 v Crazy Gang 324


Bluecoat opened with 44 but Crazy Gang took a 5 pin lead with 49 and a 51 increased that lead to 9 pins. A further pin was gained in the third and though Crazy Gang dropped to 41 in the fourth Bluecoat missed the chance to pull back pins against as they lost 4 more pins with 37. Bluecoat hit 41 but Crazy Gang beat that with 47 to lead by 20 pins. Crazy Gang hit 48 in the sixth against 39 to lead by 29 pins and though Bluecoat hit their highest of the evening (49) the hill was too big to climb pulling back only 4 pins. Rob Davis had 43 and Callum Turner 52.

01/03/2020 Treasurers 2 v Crazy Gang 5


Treasurers opened with a low 33 and Crazy Gang easily beat that with 54. They dropped to 43 and with Jon Monks opening with a 10sp Treasurers won on anchor with 44. They showed 42 thanks to 12sp on anchor from Paddy Hopkins but Bluecoat regained the lead on anchor with 48. A show of 47 then had the Gang leading 3-1. Treasurers hit 47 in the fifth but with Steve Sherlock having 12sp another leg was won on anchor with a 50. A drop to 42 let Treasurers in to win the sixth with 48 and they showed back 39. It’s never easy at the King William but it required the anchor of Crazy Gang to win the game as they scored 40. Paddy Hopkins had 51 and Kevin Turner 44.

01/03/2020 Twerton City Rollers 2 v No Hopers 5


The Rollers showed 3 but No Hopers took the early lead with 47, and a show of 47 just made it 2-0 on a tie. The Rollers hit back in the third with their own tie of 46 but No Hopers led 3-1 with a 49. The Rollers hit 49 to win the fifth but No Hopers took it to 4-2 with a show of 55. The Rollers showed 42 in the seventh and No Hopers just scraped home on anchor with 43. Paula Sage had 45 and Rob Sage 48.

01/03/2020 Bards 5 v Bluecoat House 3


Bards showed 45 in the opener, but Bluecoat took the lead on anchor with 49. They then showed 51 to take a 2-0 lead. Bards came back to win the third with 54 but a show of 51 had Bluecoat leading 3-1. Bards went big in the fifth with 65 including spares of 14 and 11 from Dick Newton and Mike Nash to win the leg and facing 40 from Bluecoat levelled on anchor with 43. They showed 51 to lead 4-3 in the seventh and facing only 37 won the game with 52. Dick Newton, Rich Morris and Mike Grigg all shared 56 and Franc Matranga 48.

01/03/2020 Ivory Toast 5 v SWA 3


Ivory could only manage 29 in the first leg and SWA led on anchor with 33, and then a show of 39 saw SWA lead 2-0. Ivory hit 42 in the third to win the leg and facing 31 levelled with 43. They dropped to 36 but it was just enough to lead 3-2. SWA hit 39 to level in the sixth but Ivory Toast led again with a show of 40. They faced a show of 35 from SWA and just took the spoils on anchor with 36. Dom Hall had 49 and Dave Mooney 46.

A humiliating defeat for Treasurers who started badly with a show of 37. No Hopers beat that with 53 and a show of 54 took it to 2-0 against a 36. Treasurers scored 38 but No Hopers led 3-0 with a 51. They dropped to 45 and Treasurers were unlucky to trail 4-0 on a tied leg. They hit a good 48 thanks to 11sp on anchor from Paddy Hopkins but No Hopers wrapped it up with 55. Paddy Hopkins had 35 and though Rich Davey had another good game Rob Sage topped with 36.

23/02/2020 RUH Porters 5 (8) v Bluecoat House 2 (2)


RUH Porters showed 48 to take an early lead, and then facing 44 made it 2-0 with a 50. That became 3-0 with a show of 53. Bluecoat hit back with their own 53 to win the fourth only to see Porters take the fifth with 48. Bluecoat won the sixth with a show of 54 including 13sp from Sue Clark but a 47 was just enough for Porters to win the game. John Britton had 49 and Franc Matranga 44.

23/02/2020 Ivory Toast 5 (8) v SWA 2 (2)


Ivory opened with a 45 but with Jamie Worsfold having 9sp SWA led with a 51. They showed 48 and just took a 2-0 lead. Ivory hit 44 but won their first leg on a tie and then beat 41 on anchor with 42 to level at 2-2. Ivory showed a 50 to lead 3-2 and facing 46 took a 4-2 lead with 48 including 9sp from Chloe Burroughs. They showed 48 and though SWA went well they just missed out saving the game with 47. Chloe Burroughs had 48 and Dave Mooney 46.

23/02/2020 Bards 5 (8) v Twerton City Rollers 2 (2)


Bards showed 49 in the opening leg but Twerton City Rollers took an early lead with 57 after 13sp on anchor from Andrew Richman. They dropped to 41 and Bards levelled with 48 and then led 2-1 with 47. The Rollers came back strongly with a show of 54 to then level at 2-2. Bards only hit 45 in the fifth but the Rollers dropped to 43 to trail 2-3. An even lower show of 39 proved easy for Bards as they led 4-2 with a 55 including 14sp from Mike Nash. A highest leg of the evening, 58, saw Bards home in this important top of the table clash. Mike Nash had 51 and Andrew Richman 55.

16/02/2020 No Hopers 5 (8) v Treasurers 1 (1)


No Hopers showed 58 with 14sp from Rob Davey and led 1-0 despite Roger Rex having 15sp for Treasurers. They came back with 56 to level he game. No Hopers hit 52 with another spare (13) from Rob Davey to lead 2-1 and facing 43 from Treasurers took it to 3-1 with a 50. They showed 60 and though Paddy Hopkins had 14sp on anchor a 53 saw them trail 4-1. They showed 51 but No Hopers romped home with a leg of 72 including 16sp from Joe Rich and Charlie James on anchor. Joe Rich had 52 and Paddy Hopkins 46.

16/02/2020 Bluecoat House 1 (1) v RUH Porters 5 (8)


Bluecoat hit 40 and won the opener. RUH Porters showed 49 and that was good enough to level at 1-1. Bluecoat dropped to 33 and Porters took the lead with 38. They upped their game to show 43 to lead 3-1, and then faced 42 from Bluecoat. Porters took the leg on anchor with 47 and a 48 won the game as Bluecoat’s misery continued, Rob Davis had 34 and Pete Flew shared 35 with Margaret Morris.

16/02/2020 SWA 3 (3) v Ivory Toast 5 (8)


SWA opened with 29 only to see Ivory Toast lead 1-0 with 38 including 12sp from Nick Houston. They showed 37 and SWA were unfortunate to trail 2-0 to a tied leg. They hit 34 to win the third before a 33 took the fourth for Ivory. SWA showed 31 in the fifth but Ivory held a 4-1 lead on anchor with 33. Ivory showed 34 but SWA won the leg on anchor with 35. They then showed 41 to pull back to 3-4. Ivory then scored 32 to win the game. Dave Mooney had 42 and Nick Houston 49.

16/02/2020 Twerton City Rollers 3 (4) v Bards 5 (7)


Twerton City Rollers hit 42 in the opener but Bards led 1-0 with 51 and a show of 52 then made it 2-0. Rollers showed 45 but Bards went 3-0 up on anchor with 48. They dropped to 40 and the Rollers took the fourth on anchor with 5and then a show of 50 brought the score to 2-3. Bards hit 38 and the Rollers levelled with a 52. They dropped to 35 and Bards regained the lead with 41 and then a show of 51 won the game though the Rollers did enough to salvage the point for pins. Simon Dimbylow had 54 and Mike Grigg 52.

16/02/2020 Jelly Beans 4 (5) v Police 5 (7)


A 44 saw Jelly Beans take an early lead before a show of 37 was just enough for Police to level. Jelly Beans dropped to 30 and Police just took the lead on anchor with 32 and then led 3-1 with a 37. Jelly Beans hit 49 to just win the fifth against 48 from Police and then beat a show of 36 with 45 to level at 3-3. A show of 36 had them in the lead as Police collapsed to 20. They doubled that in the eighth to win the leg and facing 32 won the game with 48, but just failed to take the point for the pins. Roy Eddy had 58 and Chris Williams 51

09/02/2020 SWA 5 (8) v Treasurers 2 (2)


SWA opened with a low 25and Treasurers led 1-0 with a 37. They dropped to 32 and SWA drew level with a 40 and then showed 38. Treasurers scored well but unfortunately tied the leg to trail 2-1. Their show of 33 was then beaten by SWA with 39 who led 3-1. SWA showed 32 and Treasurers took their second leg on anchor with 37. They dropped to 30 and SWA just led 4-2 on anchor with 31. A show of 37 then just won the game. Dave Mooney had 39 and Roger Rex a very good 45.

09/02/2020 Bluecoat House 0 (0) v Bards 5 (8)


Bluecoat hit 34 and Bards led with a 46. A show of 46 just made it 2-0 as Bluecoat came back with 45. They hit 41 but Bards led 3-0 with a 48. They showed 43 and Bluecoat were unlucky to trail 4-0 with a tied leg. They came back strongly to show 51 but Bards stunned them with spares of 15 and 12 from Rick Morris and Mike Grigg in a leg of 61 to win. Doug Sutton had 34 and Rich Morris shared 37 with Mike Grigg.

Rob Davey had 12sp in a 58 and despite a 10sp from Ian March Jelly Beans trailed with a 52. They came back with 45 and No Hopers made it 2-0 with 54. A show of 63 with 11sp on anchor from Lucy James then had No Hopers leading 3-0. Jelly Beans scored 54 to win the fourth but a 54 including 12sp from Matt D James saw them lead 4-1. Jelly Beans hit 52 only to see No Hopers win the game on anchor with 55. Matt D James had 45 and Darren Rosser 44.

The Rollers scored 40 to take an early lead and facing 40 took a 2-0 lead on anchor with 41. They dropped to 37 and Ivory Toast won the third on anchor with 39. Treasurers started well and a show of 45 was good enough to lead against 41 from SWA. They hit 45 themselves and drew level after Treasurers only managed 37. Police hit 55 in the fifth but consistent scoring from No Hopers saw them lead 4-1 on anchor with 60. They showed back 58 with 13sp from Lucy James and that won the game. They dropped to 27 but led 4-3 when Jelly Beans came back with 21. Jelly Beans regrouped to show 43 to level at 4-4 and facing 25 won with 31. Malcolm Day shared 49 with Roger Smith and Ian Humphries 53.

22/12/2019 RUH Porters 5 (8) v Police 4 (4)


RUH Porters opened with a 51 and won the leg against 41 from Police. They in return showed 42 only for Porters to lead 2-0 with a 50. They dropped to 45 and Police dropped further to 31 to trail 3-0. They showed back 50 to win the fourth but then a 53 from Porters had then leading 4-1 albeit on a tied leg. Police hit 44 for them to win on a tied leg. Porters scored 38 and Police won the seventh with 48. They showed back 49 to win and bring the scores level at 4-4. Porters regathered for the final leg and a show of 48 won the game. Martin Willcox shared 55 with John Britton and Martin Williams topped with 57.

22/12/2019 Bluecoat House 4 (4) v Treasurers 5 (8)


Bluecoat hit 32 but Treasurers trailed 1-0 with a 28. They showed back 32 but Bluecoat took it to 2-0 on anchor with 37. A 37 against 34 then made it 3-0 and as Treasurers dropped to 30 Bluecoat led 4-0 on anchor with 32. Bluecoat dropped to show 26 and Treasurers, after a severe team talk, won the fifth on anchor with 33. Inspired, a show of 39 won the sixth and facing 36 in the seventh took it to 3-4 on anchor with 41. A show back of 41 then brought the scores level at 4-4. Bluecoat were shell-shocked and could only show 31. Treasurers were buoyant and completed a fine recovery with a hugely impressive 47. Rob Davis had 52 and Paddy Hopkins 59.

22/12/2019 SWA 5 (7) v No Hopers 4 (5)


SWA hit 39 in the opening leg to easily lead 1-0, but a show of 36 from No Hopers levelled the scores at 1-1. SWA dropped to 22 and No Hopers doubled that score to lead 2-1. They dropped to 33 and SWA levelled at 2-2 with a 36. They showed only 33 in the fifth and No Hopers led 3-2 with 42. They scored 37 but SWA pulled back to 3-3 on anchor with 39. A show of 41 then saw SWA lead 4-3 before a show of 40 from No Hopers took the game into a final leg. SWA hit 33 and won the game as as No Hopers could only tie the leg, but they did have the consolation of the point for pins. Roger Smith had 47 and Rob Sage shared 44 with Matt D James.

15/12/2019 Treasurers 1 (1) v Bluecoat House 5 (8)


Treasurers opened the game with a leg of 37 but Bluecoat took the lead on anchor with 39. A slight drop to 38 let Treasurers in to level with 48 and they then showed back 43. Again, Bluecoat took the lead on anchor with 44 and a show of 40 took the lead to 3-1. Treasurers hit 39 but for the third time Bluecoat’s anchor did the business and they led 4-1 with a 43. A show of 49 then wrapped up proceedings. Kelvin Scudamore topped with 40 and Terry Clark 42.

15/12/2019 Bards 2 (2) v Crazy Gang 5 (8)


Bards opened with 37 but the Crazy Gang stunned them with a winning leg of 53 and a show of 46 just made it 2-0. Bards showed 46 but the Gang took it to 3-0 on anchor with 49 and then a show of 50 put them on the brink of victory at 4-0. Bards just won the fifth with a show of 46 thanks to 11sp from Rich Morris, and then beat a show of 50 with 55 including 12sp from Rog Northcott. Their recovery was short-lived as a show of 46 was beaten by the Gang with 53. Rog Nothcott had 50 and Steve Sherlock 51.

15/12/2019 Twerton City Rollers 5 (8) v Jelly Beans 1 (1)


Twerton City Rollers showed 44 but Jelly Beans won the leg on anchor with 47 including 9spm from Paul Kemmery. They showed back 44 and the Rollers levelled with a 52. A show of 49 saw the Rollers lead 2-1 and then beat a 41 with 48 to increase the advantage to 3-1. They hit 48 to take a 4-1 lead and facing 43 won the game on anchor with 49. Simon Dimbylow had 42 and Darren Rosser 41.

01/12/2019 Treasurers 230 v Bluecoat House 266


It was all square after opening legs of 33 before Bluecoat posted a 40 in the second to lead by 4 pins. Treasurers dropped to 26 in the third and a 37 from Bluecoat saw the lead increase to 15 pins. They scored 40 and they gained a further 3 pins. Treasurers only scored a 28 and Bluecoat went 28 pins in front. Treasurers pulled a pin back in the sixth, but it was a small consolation as Bluecoat took a further 9 pins with a 44 including 14sp from N Sutton. He had 51 and Kelvin Scudamore a good 40.

01/12/2019 No Hopers 394 v RUH Porters 358


No Hopers opened with a 59 and held a commanding 21 pin lead as Porters faltered with a 38. They scored 56 in the second to pull back 4 pins but a 54 from No Hopers saw their lead increase to 23 pins. Porters then hit a 55 but were stunned by a 72 from No Hopers that included spares of 15 and 14 from Emily Cottle and Matt R James that saw the lead increase to 40 pins. No Hopers pulled another 5 pins despite a 10sp from Rob Holmes. Porters scored 56 to pull back 9 pins but No Hopers steadied it with 55 including 12sp on anchor from Joe Rich leaving Porters an almost impossible task. Emily Cottle had 59 and Andy Bond 50.

01/12/2019 Police 350 v Crazy Gang 357


Police opened with 47 and Crazy Gang just nicked a 1 pin advantage on anchor with 48. They scored 52 but Police then too held a 1 pin lead after a 54. Police scored 49 with 9sp on anchor from Chris Williams but a 52 from Crazy Gang had then leading by 2 pins. They dropped to 47 but Police dropped lower with 40 to trail by 9 pins. Police hit a 57 but Crazy Gang pulled a further 2 pins with a 59. Police cancelled out those 2 pins beating 52 with 54 but needing to put pressure on Crazy Gang in the final leg scored just 49. Cray Gang skittled steadily to win a close game by 7 pins. Chris Williams topped with 50 and Steve Sherlock 49.

Jelly Beans opened with 30 but Bluecoat took the lead on anchor with 32. They dropped to show 26 and Jelly Beans levelled with 40. They showed 31 and just led against Bluecoat’s 30. Bluecoat dropped to 28 and Jelly Beans made it 3-1 on anchor with 32. A 40 took the score to 4-1 and facing 31 won the game with 41. Darren Eddy shared 34 with Paul Kemmery and Rob Davis 32.

The Rollers scored 45 to take an early lead and then beat 45 with 52 to lead 2-0. A drop to 42 let No Hopers in with 57 to take the third, but their drop to 37 allowed the Rollers to lead 3-1 with 53. They showed 48 to lead 4-1 and facing 48 took the game on anchor with 51. Andrew Richman had 43 and Lucy James shared 41 with Rob Sage

Bards showed 50 in the opening leg and led as Porters scored43. They showed back 45 to then level on a tied leg. They hit 48 and led 2-1 on their won tied leg. Porters then scored 49 to level at 2-2 as Bards dropped to 38. Bards raised their game to take the lead 3-2 with a 52 and facing 43 took it to 4-2 with another 52. They showed 55 to win the game. Mike Knight had 48 and John Britton 46.

24/11/2019 Ivory Toast 5 (8) v Crazy Gang 2 (2)


Ivory Toast showed 50 to take an early lead before a 47 from Crazy Gang. Ivory hit 46 against 43 to lead 2-1 but then a 49 from Crazy Gang levelled at 2-2. Ivory came back with 44 to regain the lead and facing 38 made it 4-2 with a 45. They showed 51 and though Crazy Gang scored well they just missed saving the game with 50. Henry Duckworth topped with 46 and Chris Lee 41.

17/11/2019 RUH Porters 3 (3) v Bards 5 (8)


Porters showed 50 in the opening leg to take the leg. Bards levelled with a show of 51 and facing 42 took the lead with 57 including 9sp from Mike Knight. They dropped to 44 and Porters took full advantage to level at 2-2 on anchor with a 47. Porters scored 49 but Bards took the lead on anchor with a 50 and then made it 4-2 with a show of 45. Porters hit back with 49 but facing 56 lost the game with 48. Margaret Morris had 53 and Mike Knight 54.

17/11/2019 Crazy Gang 2 (2) v Ivory Toast 5 (8)


Crazy Gang hit 48 but Ivory Toast won the leg on anchor with 49. They showed back a 49 but with 14sp from Chris Lee a 54 levelled. Crazy Gang hit 51 but a 57 had Ivory lead 2-1. They dropped to 43 and Crazy Gang levelled with a 47. They showed 54 but Ivory won the leg on anchor with 56 and then a show of 55 took them to 4-2. Crazy Gang hit 53 in the seventh leg, but with Tom Newton taking a 12sp and the anchor winning the leg Ivory won the game had 52 and Marmaduke Hatfield 53.

17/11/2019 Bluecoat House 4 (4) v Jelly Beans 5 (8)


Bluecoat started with a show of 39 but Jelly Beams lead on anchor with 43. A show of 49 then made it 2-0. Bluecoat could only show 38 in the third but won the leg by one pin. Jelly Beans came back with a 44 to win the fourth. Bluecoat found their form to win the fifth with 47 and then beat 45 with 50 to pull level at 3-3. A show of 45 then had them in front at 4-3. Jelly Beans scored 43 in the eighth and looked to be easily winning the leg before Terry Clark on anchor. He needed 13sp to win the game but scored just 12sp, so it was 4-4. Unfortunately, Bluecoat dropped to 33 and Jelly Beans won with a 46. Terry Clark had 61 and Ian Humphries 58.

17/11/2019 No Hopers 3 (4) v Twerton City Rollers 5 (7)


No Hopers opened with 43 but the Rollers led with a 57. A show of 54 just won against a 53 to bring it to 2-0. No Hopers hit 55 but the Rollers led 3-0 on anchor with 57. The Rollers dropped to show 49 but No Hopers dropped lower with44 to trail 4-0. Facing a whitewash, No Hopers hit back with a leg of 71 including spares of 15 and 14 from Rob Sage and Charlie James despite the Rollers scoring 61. They showed 50 but No Hopers won the sixth with 66 that had a 13sp from Joe Rich. No Hopers then showed 59 with 12sp from Lucy James to pull back to 3-4. The Rollers then showed 56 with 13sp from Jason Dinsdale, and despite a 15sp from Charlie James No Hopers lost with 54 but took the point for pins. Both Rob Sage and Jason Dinsdale scored 69.

17/11/2019 SWA 4 (4) v Police 5 (8)


SWA opened with 31 but that was just good enough to take the lead on a tied leg. Police came back to level with a 38 but SWA showed 30 to lead 2-1 against a 29. Police showed 32 but SWA won the leg on anchor with 34 to lead 3-1. They showed 34 with 11sp from Roger Smith, only for Police to win the leg with a 40. Another 40 then took the score to 3-3. SWA hit 32 but Police took the lead with a 41. They showed 38 but SWA took it to 4-4 on anchor with 41. SWA scored a 30 but it still needed the Police anchor to score 9 to win the game with 32. Roger Smith had 50 and Chris Williams 53.

10/11/2019 Crazy Gang 5 (8) v Treasurers 1 (1)


Crazy Gang showed a high 56 to take the lead and facing 50 took a 2-0 lead on anchor with 57. A 52 show easily made it 3-0. Treasurers hit 53 in the fourth to take the leg, but a show of 53 saw the Gang lead 4-1. Treasurers showed 48 with a good 11sp from Bob Cotton but the Gang won the game on anchor with 53. Kevin Turner had 43 and John Pagett shared 39 with Bob Cotton.

RUH Porters opened with 45 thanks to 10sp on anchor from Graham Lock, and just led 1-0 after a 44 from Ivory Toast. They showed 49 but Porters took a 2-0 lead on anchor with 51. They hit 48 but Ivory took the leg on anchor with 49. They dropped to 42 and Porters made it 3-1 with 53. They dropped to 45 and Ivory took advantage to win the fifth with 52, and then a show of 51 brought the scores level at 3-3. Porters showed 49 only for Ivory to take the lead on anchor with a 50. They dropped to show 43 and Porters levelled at 4-4 on anchor with 48. Porters dropped to 37 in the final leg but Ivory struggled too but secured the victory on anchor with 38 but lost the point for pins. Dennis Morris shared 62 with Eddie Kearns and Henry Duckworth 63.

Bluecoat dropped to 37 but low scores are hard to beat, and No Hopers lost the fifth on a tied leg. They showed 48 and won the game. N Sutton had 40 and Charlie James scored likewise

They hit 32 but the Rollers recovered their composure to lead 4-1 with 45. They hit 41 to win the game. Dave Mooney had 31 and Andrew Richman 36.

Bards showed 44 and Police went close but trailed on a tied leg. They dropped to 37 and Bards seized the initiative to lead 2-0 with a 52. A show of 50 then took the score to 3-0. Police recovered to take a leg with 51 and then faced 54. They lost with a 50 and a drop to 40 let Bards in to win with 54. Mike Grigg had 44 and Stuart Neate 48.

Treasurers hit 52 to pull one back in the third and facing 42 levelled at 2-2 on anchor with 48. They could only show 36 and Crazy gang led 3-2 on anchor with 40. A show of 50 then had the gang leading 4-2. Treasurers responded with 46 to win the seventh but lost out to a show of 45 to lose the game. Roger Rex had 51 and Bryan Burrows 45.

A show of 46 just won game as SWA missed out with 45. Simon Dimbylow shared 34 with Andrew Richman and Roger Smith scored 30.

Police scored 61 with 14sp from Chris Williams on anchor to take a 1-0 lead. Bards hit 52 and were heading for 1-1 till Chris Williams had a 12sp for Police in a 56 to lead 2-0. A leg of 60 was enough to lead 3-0. Bards hit 51 and again were heading to win the leg before Chris Williams had 11sp in a 53 to take Police to a 4-0 lead. They dropped to 42 and Bards took their leg with 48 and showed 46. Police scored well and won the game with 55. Chris Williams had 58 and Mike Grigg 42.

No Hopers opened proceedings with a 48 but Bluecoat took the lead on anchor with 51. They showed back 49 only for No Hopers to level with a 54. They showed 49 themselves and took the lead on a tied leg and facing 50 made it3-1 on anchor with a 53 No Hopers then hit 60 with 13sp from Lucy James to lead 4-1 and then facing 45 won the game with 65 including spares of 13 and 14 from Lucy James and Matt D James. Lucy James was on form with 53 and Terry Clark 42.

Police hit 31 to win the third and facing 21 levelled on anchor with 22. A show of 32 then had Police leading for the first time. They faced 23 from Bluecoat but made it 4-2 with a 45. A show of 43 then won the game. Paul Needham scored 40 and Rob Davis 33.

SWA hit 27 but No Hopers took an early 13 pin lead with 40. They dropped to 28 and SWA took full advantage with 46 to lead by 5 pins. They showed 33 and No Hopers reduced the deficit by a pin0 They scored 36 in the fourth and regained the lead by 4 pins as SWA hit 28. SWA then scored 42 but a 46 from No Hopers saw the lead increase to 8 pins. SWA pulled a pin back in the sixth but needing score highly in the final leg only managed 28 and No Hopers ran out winners with 35. Dave Mooney had 44 and Joe Rich shared 37 with Lucy James.

20/10/2019 Ivory Toast 5 v Treasurers 3


Ivory Toast opened the game with a leg of 24. Treasurers scored well and took the lead with a leg of 30. They dropped 10 pins in the second and Ivory levelled with 29, including 9sp from Rowan Curne-Jordan. They hit 21 and Treasurers led on anchor with 24 and then a show of 30 saw them lead 3-1. Ivory responded well with a 46 to pull back to 2-3 and facing 14 drew level at 3-3 on anchor with 18. They showed 25 with 9sp on anchor from Henry Duckworth to lead 4-3 and beat 20 with 29 to win the game. Henry Duckworth had 38 and Roger Rex scored likewise.

The Rollers showed 40 to take an early lead and then beat a show of 35 from SWA with 43 to lead 2-0. A 35 was enough for a 3-0 lead and facing 19 took it to 4-0 with 36. A show of 43 then brought an early finish for the evening. Julian Marshall had 32 and Roger Smith 27.

Crazy Gang hit 59 to take an early 14 pin lead and after Bards had scored 47 a 54 with 10sp from Steve Sherlock the Gang held a 21 pin lead after two legs. A score of 47 saw the lead increase to 24 pins in the third. Bards hit 49 but the Gang gained three more pins with a 52. They dropped to 35 and Bards took advantage to pull back 12 pins to trail by only 15 pins. A 49 from Bards then brought the deficit to 10 pins but with only one leg to go a 45 from Crazy Gang left Bards too much to do. Mike Turner had 51 and Mike Grigg 50.

13/10/2019 Treasurers 5 (8) v RUH Porters 3 (3)


With a late addition Kelvin Scudamore making his season debut Treasurers showed 40 and a poor finish from Porters cost them the leg. They recovered to respond with 44 and level at 1-1. Treasurers raised their game and a 46 put hem back in front. Again, Porters showed a winning leg as both teams dropped (35-28) but another 46 from Treasurers saw leam lead 3-2. Porter levelled with a 41 but the turning point was the seventh. Treasurers won the leg with a tied 38 and facing 39 took a rare victory with 45. Roger Rex topped with 49 and Martin Pratt 45.

13/10/2019 Ivory Toast 1 (1) v Bards 5 (8)


Ivory Toast scored 37 but Bard led on anchor with 40. A show of 49 then made it 2-0. Ivory hit 46 only to see Bards take a 3-0 lead with 55. They dropped to 42 and Ivory won their leg on anchor with 44. They showed 40 but Bards won the sixth with 42 and a 53 with 13sp from Mike Grigg won the game. Marmaduke Hatfield had 39 and 40 was shared by Rog Northcott and Andy Lanning.

They dropped to 28 and Jelly Beans levelled with 43 and regained the lead with a 42. The Gang dropped to 31 and Jelly Beans led 4-2 with a 54. They showed 41 but the Gang pulled back to 3-4 on anchor with 44. They showed back 41 but Jelly Beans won the game on anchor with 42. Roy Eddy had 50 and Chris Lee 44.

Police opened with 45 but the Rollers took an early lead with 52 and another 52 just had them leading 2-0 on a tied leg. Police scored 49 in the third but a 13sp from Simon Dimbylow helped the Rollers take a 3-0 lead with 58. They showed 50 but high scoring from Police including 13sp from Stuart Neate saw a leg of 64 win. Police dropped to 45 but the Rollers scored 43 to lose the leg. They went lower to 40 and Police got back to 3-3 with 48. A show of 53 saw them take the lead and facing 42 completed the recovery with 48. Stuart Neate had 57 and Simon Levison 53.

SWA easily led after the opener with a 41 but a show of 34 from Bluecoat took the score to 1-1. SWA scored 34 and led 2-1 as Bluecoat dropped to 27. An even lower 24 was beaten with 45 and a show of 42 took the score to 4-1. Bluecoat hit 34 but SWA just took the spoils on anchor with 35. Jack Spence had 35 and Terry Clark 28.

Bluecoat showed 32 in the opener, but SWA led 1-0 with 42. Their show of 42 then made it 2-0. Bluecoat dropped to 27 and another 42 saw SWA easily lead 3-0. They showed only 34 but Bluecoat missed out with 32. They hit 33 and SWA romped home in their season opener with 47. N Sutton had 33 and Dave Mooney 36.

Andy Lanning had 41 and Henry Duckworth 38.

Jelly Beans hit 59 in the sixth to lead 4-2, but the Gang took the seventh with a show of 51. Jelly Beans showed 48 and the Gang pulled level on anchor with 49. They showed 50 to win the game, but the point for pins had long gone. Callum M Turner had 61 and A Non 64.

The Rollers scored 47 to take an early lead, and with Police dropping to 34 in the second a 40 secured a 2-0 lead. They showed 45 and a disaster from Police as a 29 saw them trailing 3-0. They raised their game to hit 44 to win the fourth but a 46 from the Rollers took it to 4-1. Police showed 48 to try and save the game but the Rollers ran out winners on anchor with 49. Andrew Richman had 40 and Martin Williams shared 34 with Chris Williams.

RUH Porters showed 42 but Jelly Beans took the lead on anchor with 43. They showed 52 and although Porters scored well a 51 just missed. They showed a 51 but Jelly Beans led 3-0 with a 58. They showed back 50 which resulted in a 4-0 lead. Porters came back with 46 including 10sp from Rob Holmes to pull a leg back. Jelly Beans hit 53 with 14sp from Keith Eddy and Porters just failed to save the game with 51. Rob Holmes had 42 and Keith Eddy 49.

Treasurers scored 44 to take the fifth but a 52 from Bards with 9sp on anchor from Andy Lanning took the score to 3-3. Treasurers dropped to 40 and Bards took the lead for the first time on anchor with 42 and then a 56 won the game. John Pagett had 61 and Andy Lanning 56.

Crazy Gang opened with 52 to lead 1-0 and facing 44 made it 2-0 with 51. They dropped to 49 and No Hopers won the third on anchor with 51 and then a show of 48 levelled the game. Crazy Gang came back with 52 to regain the lead and facing 46 made it 4-2 on anchor with 50. They showed a 50 but No Hopers won the seventh on anchor with 56 and a 52 saved the game as the Gang lost the leg on a tie. Crazy Gang scored 53 to win the game. Connor M Turner had 65 and Rob Sage 64.

29/09/2019 Twerton City Rollers 5 (8) v Bluecoat House 2 (2)


The Rollers hit 37 but Bluecoat took the lead on anchor with 42. A drop to 36 let Rollers level with 44 and a 46 had them take the lead 2-1. Bluecoat scored 35 in the fourth and the Rollers led 3-1 with 45 and a 46 saw them lead 4-1. Bluecoat took the sixth on a tied leg of 52 but a 45 was enough to win the game. James Dowbiggin had 44 and Franc Matranga shared 41 with Rob Davis.

29/09/2019 Ivory Toast 3 (3) v Police 5 (8)


Ivory Toast led with a opening show of 50 but a 48 from Police took the score to 1-1. Ivory hit 45 but Police led on anchor with 50 and then a show of 57 made it 3-1. Ivory dropped to 42 and a 51 had Police leading 4-1. Ivory beat 49 with 54 to win the sixth and a 50 just won the seventh. Police regrouped to hit 55 and won the game. Marmaduke Hatfield had 59 as did Paul Jones.

22/09/2019 Bards 5 (8) v Treasurers 1 (1)


This was Champions v Wooden Spoon, and it showed. Bards opened with 52 and Treasurers failed with 45. They raised their game to show back 49 and Treasurers pulled level at 1-1. Bards came back with 47 to regain the lead and facing 41 made it 3-1 with 49. They dropped to 41 but a Treasurers collapse to 34 saw them trail 1-4. Unfortunately, they could not recover and a show of 37 was beaten on anchor with 44. Gordon Friend shared 39 with Andy Lanning and Paddy Hopkins topped with 37.

22/09/2019 Police 5 (8) v Ivory Toast 2 (2)


Police showed 42 in the opener and led 1-0 after Ivory just missed out with 41. They showed 45 and levelled as Police just failed to win the leg with 44. They hit 46 to win the third on a tie and made it 3-1 as Ivory dropped to show 32 which Police beat with 43. They showed a 43 but Ivory took their second leg with 47. They showed back 44 but Police led 4-2 with 55 and won the game with a show of 50.Trevor Fysh had 49 and Nick Houston 44.

22/09/2019 Bluecoat House 3 (3) v TCR 5 (8)


Bluecoat showed 36 and won the opener, but Twerton City Rollers showed back a 44 to level the game. Bluecoat scored 42 only to see the Rollers lead with a 47. A show of 43 then took the score to 3-1. Bluecoat hit back in the fifth with 40 but a 47 from rollers saw them lead 4-2. Bluecoat took the seventh 43 but facing 45 lost the game with 31. Graham Weeks had 46 and Andy Cole shared 47 with Jim Rose

22/09/2019 No Hopers 5 (8) v Crazy Gang 4 (4)


No Hopers showed 60, but with a 12sp from Heather Turner included in a 61 Cray Gang led 1-0. They dropped to 40 and No Hopers levelled with 57. They showed 53 despite 13sp from Lucy James and Crazy Gang regained the lead with 54. They dropped to 48 and No Hopers levelled on anchor with 52.A show of 50 then saw No Hopers lead 3-2. Crazy Gang hit back straightaway with 65 including spares of 13 and 12 from Turner and Chris Spurrey to level at 3-3 as No Hopers had 62 including 9sp from Matt R James. They showed 55 to lead 4-3 before a 60 from Crazy Gang with 14sp from Callum R Turner levelled at 4-4. No Hopers hit 57 in the final leg and Crazy Gang missed out with 51. Lucy James had 71 and Callum R Turner scored likewise.
